A Constant Velocity Joint, or CV joint, allow the drive shaft to transmit power through a variable angle at a constant rotational speed and deliver power to your wheels. They are mainly used in front wheel drive and all wheel drive vehicles.

So how do you know if your need to get your CV joint checked out? If you hear a clicking noise when you turn or hit bumps, your CV joint could be cracked or wearing out. Vibrations may also intensify when you are accelerating or make a clunking noise when you slow down.  If you experience any of these things you may want to get your CV joints checked out to prevent a more costly repair
